Locking Unlocking the Bootloader on a Samsung Galaxy S8 S8 Unlocking and Re-locking the Bootloader is surprisingly simple on the Samsung Galaxy S8 series. With most devices, you have to enable Developer Options, enable OEM Unlock and then boot into Fastboot mode and execute a command such as Fastboot oem unlock from a PC. With the Samsung Galaxy S8, simply flipping the switch in Developer Options locks and unlocks the bootloader. No further action is required - indeed the S8 does not even have a fastboot mode, so you couldnt execute fastboot commands even if you wanted to!
